The Atlantic is a storybook that inspired third graders to write their own poetry about an element of nature. Look for some wonderful examples of "I AM" poems in the next Shark Bytes publication. Consultants from the Buzzards Bay Writing Project are working with Stoughton Elementary teachers and students to help spark new writers across the genres. We are all learning together!

On Friday, November 16, 2012, third graders became Top Secret Scientists.
Through a series of inquiry based hands on experiments, they discovered that matter can take on various forms: liquid, solid and vapor. Students above are changing liquids to solids. They made elastics from liquid. Ask your children about snow making. Mrs. Tori Robison, a South School parent, teaches a group of eager Chinese language learners during an afterschool Enrichment Program on Wednesdays. The panda bear art project excited and promoted language acquisition. |
