Fourth Graders worked with partners, in small groups, and individually during a recent Science Center Unit about the Earth. Mrs. Doherty's student scientists work in a multi-modal way. They were creating models, designing posters, and using technology to research. Learning about the earth's layers, the types of rock that make up the layers and the structure of the Earth in this differentiated way makes the concepts easier to understand.
Firefighter Hussey asks students how to stay safe when in the kitchen after showing an enjoyable video to K, 1 and 2 students. He is also an EMT.
We practice fire drills at least 4 times each year. Many thanks to the Stoughton's Fire Department for keeping us safe and informed.

Pie-eating contests, the haunted house, children's games, raffle baskets, the famous cakewalk all made for such festive fall fun.
