The fifth graders paid a special 'singing' visit to the residents of the Copley Nursing Home. They walked all decked out in holiday garb to the facility on December 20th. Their teachers Miss Gabriels and Miss Pires accompanied them in song. Lead by Mrs. Bauman, they sang a variety of holiday songs as well as some jazzy tunes. One such song "We Wish You a 'Swingin' Holiday" got their feet tapping. Foster commented kindly that he enjoyed singing for them. He asked if they would be getting lots of presents. One lady made him laugh when she said, "Not as many as you will!" Special thanks to Mrs. Jolley (for taking photos), Mrs. Molin, Mrs. Standring and Mrs. Small for joining us. One special moment was when Miss Pires was introduced to Mrs. Helen Hansen. She felt honored to meet the former principal of the Helen Hansen School. Peace to all in this holiday season!
