Fourth grade students in Mrs. Doherty's science classes created active volcanoes as part of their study of Earth and Space and the earth's layers. They each integrated their technology skills by designing a Powerpoint presentation with the help of technology specialist, Mrs. Maltby and practiced public speaking. Students explained how a volcano erupts, its elevation, crater dimensions, amount of magma it can hold, and other interesting researched facts about volcanic eruptions. They are on display in the lobby.
